Our Services

Curriculum Writing and Design

At Deeply Rooted Outdoor Education, we design curriculum that transforms learning into an active, meaningful experience grounded in place, inquiry, and student voice. Our work prioritizes inquiry-based and student-centered design, equipping educators with flexible, high-impact content that invites learners to explore, question, and make sense of the world around them.

We partner with schools, museums, nature centers, and community organizations to develop both interpretive and standards-based environmental education programs. For interpretive settings, we craft experiences that tell the story of a place—facilitating intellectual and emotional connections between visitors and the resource’s deeper meanings. For education-focused learning environments, we design standards-aligned curriculum that builds environmental literacy while strengthening content knowledge and improving academic outcomes.

All Deeply Rooted curriculum is intentionally place-based and grounded in culturally responsive practices. We create materials and learning experiences that are accessible, adaptable, and easy for educators of all backgrounds and experience levels to implement with confidence—whether indoors, outdoors, or anywhere learning happens.
